Big water entry for a black Lab going to retrieve a duck on a pond

The Working Certificate (WC) is designed to test the natural retrieving drive of Labrador and other retriever breeds. In order to pass the WC, a Lab must retrieve a duck that is thrown on land at a distance of about 50 yards. Then the dog must retrieve two ducks, one at a time, from water. The back-to-back water retrieves are meant to show the dog is willing to reenter water even after retrieving a bird. Dogs that pass all three retrieves are awarded a certificate.
